We smile when we hear our enemies boast Of what in the future they'll do. Our ocean-like lame spreads out to each coast, Aye, and shines all the wide world through. We are not mere playthings easily spoiled, But to float while the wind blows fair. For hundreds of years our sailors nave toiled; They've won each bright laurel they wear.
