the County Clerk, Mr A. P. Day, reported to Tuesday's meeting of the Franklin County Council as follows:

County Fund Account, General.— The overdraft at National Bank on tbia account is £6912 Os 2d. The accounts passed for payment by Finance Sub-Committee on this account on 3rd November last amounted to £552 16s sd.

Government Grant Account.—The overdraft at National Bank on this account amounts to £296 11a 9d. The accounts passed for payment from this account by Finance Committee on 3rd November last amounted to £167 17s 6d. Claims for payment have been made to the Public Works Department for more than the amount of this debit.

Loans Account.—The following are the credit balances at National Bank on Loan Accounts less unpreaented cheques:—Hunua Riding Roada Loan Accounts, £7O 15s 9d; Needles Wharf Loan Account. £149 6s 3d; Pura Pura Loan, £6 18s 8d; Puni District Loan, £176 15s; Hill District Loan, £ls 3s lOd; Hill District No. 2. Loan, £458 7s lOd. The Finance Sub-Committee passed an account for £3 15s for payment on Pura Pura Loan Account at its meeting on 3rd November last.
