RAMA RAMA FLOWER SHOW.

Some Splendid Exhibits.

The hfth annual Mower show was held at Rama Rama on Wednesday, and was very largely attended. The exhibits ot tlcoms were not so numerous as at the previous show, which tact is due to the unfavourable weather. The popular flowers such as roses and sweet peas were tbese that piincipally Buffered by comparison. The corkcry exhibits w< ra a great improvement both in quality and quantity, and in thu connection it is gratifying to th.3 committee that the young ladies <>f the district are being pa-ticuh'ly interested. Owin? to the number of bazaars arri s.plas rf wmk the needlework section was n< t q'lita so attractive, but nevorthel si t e exhibits Wt.a good. An int ies ing exhibit at the show was a most s rvicea'tlj cushion whi:u was m-.de ly Mrs Thom v l ,. seiir., of Rama Rama. The c sbion was a real work nf art and received g r e t a tcn'.i nha ing been worked by a lad? who has entered up:n her hu drai and secTd year. Although Mrs Thomas was rot at lha show tne "Times ' reporter w>>s inform d that she is still hale ami hearty, and w rks solidly for the annual sale ot work. The management of the show, which is fittingly becoming more popular each year, left nothing to bo desired, and in this connection the secretary, Mr H Pilkington, and his assistant, Mr W J D Sharp, are to ba commended.
