"KULTURED" DEVILRY.
Behold the children torn and dead, Behold the hlood-red roses spread, Behold the Hun whose hands are red, Existing in his savagery, And sniil'ng at Jm deeds of On others he would lay the blame, For h's dishonour and his game Of cruel "kultured" devilry. To arms, to arms, ye brave and true, Espouse the red, the white, the blue, And keep Brittania's fame in view, For God and for humanity; Then, forward till your goal is gained, Till truth and honour is maintained; For German soulc are soaked, and stained With raging red insanity. Fair fame abhors each awful deed, The work of an ungodly breed. And many wpep for those who bleed 'Neath hoofs of German cavalry; Then rally, Britons, near and far, Drive on in haste your fiery car; Tlie Kaiser and his henchmen are Deserving rope and p'llory. Whut though t.h» foe be proud and strong ? What though he triumphs in the wrong P His vain achievements but prolong Hie season of hip devilry. Go, ye shall win, and calmer days Will see tiie grateful nation raise A lasting monument in praise Of Br'tich pluck and chivalry. Jamee Sutherland.
