LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.
At a meeting of the Fukekube branch of the Lady Liverpool League, held on 13th October, there were present— Misses Webster, Graham, Townson and Usher, Mesdames Hogar, Webb and Mcßae. Acknowledgments were received for three parcels of knitted comfjrta sent since last meeting; also lot donation of £35 to Leather Waistcoat Fund and £2 .to Sock Fnpd.
As there N was a considerable balance left over from the waistcoat appeal, and tbe Auckland League bad the amount required, it was decided to devote the balance to the general fund.
An appeal for Christmas gifts for "our boys" at tha front was read, and it was decided to donate £5 to the fund.
The chairwoman reported having promised on behalf of the League 50 flannel undershirts, and these were cut out and distributed at the close of the meeting. Accounts for £7 18s 6Jd were passed for payment. DONATIONS. The following gifts were reported : Sock fund—Per Mrs J. Michie: Mrs J. Short, 4s 6d; Mrs T. J. McDonald, 3s; Mrs W. Watson, 2s. Beatty, 7s each: Miss R. McNally, Miss Bogan, 6s each; Mrs M. Hogan, Mrs Mansfield, 2s 6d each; Mrs M. Mickey, 2s. Band-knitted sox—Miss Fausett, Mrs J. B. Elliott, 1 pair each. Cholera belt—Mrs C. K. Nelson, one.
