THE REAL ATTRACTION.
A good deal of interest has been moused by the Countess of Warwick's indictment of those women who only study army nursing in order to provide *bemselves with new sensations and not out of any real desire to do good. The Countess is a brilliant public speaker, but she sometimes finds that her title and good looks rather interfere with her success in this direction. Once, she was addressing a large meeting on the important subject of the medical inspection of school childlen, and in the course of her speech Ae exclaimed earnestly: "I suppose you have all come here to give your support to the resolution in favour of inspection ?" •'Oh. no, we haven't," came a voice from the back of the hall. "We Viva tome here to see you !"
