STOCK SALE REPORTS.

Mesres Alfred Buck land and Sons report as follows: On Wednesday last at our weekly Westritld fat stock market we sold beef to the number cf 382 head, comprising 276 steers, 103 cows and heifers, and 3 bulls. The quality on the whole was excellent. Competition was steady, although values in some cases of steers were slightly easier. Choice ox sold at £2 7s, prime £2 3* to £2 ss, ordinary £1 18s to £2 2s; cons and h ifers, £1 17s to £2 ss; steers ranged in price from £lO 6s to £2B 17s 6rt, the latter price being paid for a steer from Mr. G. T. Bayly's, Wharepapa. Cows and heifers £6 lOj to £l4 15s. The highest values for steers included 39 ftom Messrs H. and B. Reed, Waerenga £l7 12a; 13 from Mr John Harris, Otaua, £l6 17s 8d; eight from Mr George Hull, Otau, £l7 3s 9d; eight from Mr C. G. Kobertaon, Otaua, £l6 Ss 3d. Sheep were penned in less than average numbers, and met with a keen sale, at advanced figures. Best woolly wethers, £1 17s 6d to £1 19s 6d, shorn wetbers £1 lUs to £1 13s 6d; medium to tieavy woolly wethers, £1 14s 6J to £1 17s, shorn £1 6s to £1 93; unfinished woolly wethers £1 lis to £1 13s "6d; woolly hoggets, £1 6s to £1 9a 9d, shorn 18s 6d to £1 3a 9d. 1136 sold. Spring lambs were lower in price; best, 19a to £1 2s, smaller 14s to 17s, small 10s to 13s. 48 sold. There was an average yarding of fat and young calves, which sold at improved rates; runners cold to £10; heavy suckers £4 7s 6d to £4 15s; medium suckers, £3 15s to £4 ss; lighter, £2 15s to £3 7s 6d; light, £1 15s to £2 10s, small and fresh dropped 3s to £1 125.. 112 sold. The 19? pigs penned met with a brisK sale; all classes sold at higher values. Choppers, £4 to £5 7s 6d; heavy baconers, £4 5s to £4 15s; medium baconers, £3 15s to £4 2a; light baconers, £3 3s to £3 12s; heavy porkers, £2 12s to £2 18s; medium porkers, £2 5s to £2 lis; light, £1 16s to £2 4s; large stores, £1 10s to £1 15s; slip?, £1 6s to £1 13s; weaners, 13s to 18s; suckers and rut?, 6s to 12s.
