TOWN BOARD FOR MANUREWA.

At tha mesting of the Manukau County Council held yesterday, a copy of the report of the Commission which recently enquired into the proposal to form a town district at Manurewa was received from the Assistant-Under Secretary of Internal Affairs. lha Comissionera stated that they were of opinion that tha district would not, perhaps, under ordinary coorditions, be sufficiently advanced for the formation of a town district, but they thought that, in view of the piesent control being that of two road districts as well as the county, and in view, further, of tha continued closer se tlement in tba proposed area, it was desirable to form a town district, to take effect as at March 31st, 1916. Ihe proposed boundaries could with advantage be amended. The town district would be constituted with boundaries as recommended by the Commission.
