Thornton—Walker-
Considerable interest was attached to the wedding that took place in ■at. Andrew's Church, Pukekohe, on Wednesday, when the nuptial knot was tied between Mr Henry Thornton and Miss Ellenor Walkei, daughter of Mr, John Walker, of Papakura. The bridegroom is a well-known ex-resident of Pukekohe, having until recently been in the employ of Messrs H. Dell and Son fjr twelve years, and having filled such offices as secretary of the Pukekohe Fira Brigade and Town Band. He was also one of the promoters of the Pukekohe Lakes' Hockey Club, for wdich or/ar isation be acted as referee ani coach du i g i ! s tint ytar uf existence. He is now in business on tis own account at (Jtahuhu. The Kev. h\ B. Dobson olhciated.
Thi bride, who was given a*ay by her brother-in-law, Mr Arthur Dickens, was charmingly attired ia white silk with shadow lace overdress and veil with orange blossom', and she carried a dainty bouquet of roses and asparagus fern. Thu bridesmaids were Miss t'lmie Parker and Miss Thelma Dickens, the former's dres3 being ot cream silk and the latter of white silk. The bridegroom was attended by Mr John Walker, brothsr of thu bride, as best m«n,
The wedding breakfast took place at the residence of Mr and Mrs Arthur Dickens ad the usuil t~as's ware honoured. Th 3 newlymarried couple left in the afternoon for Auckland, where the honeymoon is being spent.
