STOCK SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report: At Pukekobe, on Monday, we held a special dairy sale, when more than the advertised number came forward, and we teport a very good sale. Best dairy cows sold at from £9 to £l4 10s; others, £5 to £7 15s; best dairy heifers, £7 10s to £l2, others £4 10s to £6 15s; aged and inferior cows, £1 7s 6d to £3 10s.
At Fukekuhe on Tuesday we held our montbly store sale. There was a foil yarding, which met with a good sale. Steers, forward, Si-year-old to 4-year-old, told at from £lO to £l2 10s. Two to 3-year steers, £7 8s to £lO ss; ycarliDgs to 2-year-old, £4 8s to £7 6s; steer calves, £2 4s to £3 16s; heifers and cows, in fresh condition, £5 to £6 10s; yearling to 2-year heifers £2 10s to £4 15s; calves, mixed, £1 5a to £1 17s; bulb, £5 to £lO ss. beef at fully Wehtrield prices, cows up to £l3, steers to £ls.
At Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday beef was penned in usual numbers and showed no improvement on last week's prices, Frime oxen Bold to £2 6s per 1001b, others £2 lo £2 2s; cows and heifers, £1 15s to £2 3s; steers Bold at from £l3 5s to £l9 2s 6d; cows sold at from £6 2s 6d to £l7 7s 6d for an extra well-done cow. Calves were penned in extra large numbers and declined in price on last week's rates. Huimers sold at from £7 15s to £8 17s (id; heavy suckers, £3 15s to £5 14s; medium, £2 10s to £3 15s; lighter, £1 17s to £2 7s; light, £1 la to £1 15s; small and fresh-dropped, 5s to 15s. Sheep were penned in average numbers and sold under good competiiton at ltte rates. Best wethers sold at from £1 14s to £2; shorn wethers, £1 7s to £1 9s Gd; others, £1 8s to £1 13s Gd; ewes, extra heavy, £1 14s to £1 19s 6d; others, £1 4a to £1 12s Gd; hogget?, £1 0s Gd to £1 8s; spring lambs, £1 0s Gd to £1 3s. Pigs were penned in small numbers and improved in price. Choppers sold at from £4 16s to £5 10s; heavy haconers, £4 4s to £4 12s medium, £3 7s to £4; light, £2 19s to £3 6s; heavy pomers, £2 17s to £3 lis; medium porkers, £2 Ss to £2 16s; light, £1 16s to £2 6s; dips, £1 6s to £1 13s; weaners, 18s to £1 3s.
