COWS AFTER CALVING.
After calving many cows fail to " cleanse" properly and the contagious disease microbes contained in the dust and dirt always blowing about settle on and find an ideal breeding phce in the beast. Once lolgod tne even-blool temperature of a cow soon develops these germs and infectious diseases make their appearance. Unless prompt measures are taken to obviato this trouble there is a big danger of the whole herd becoming infected. As a matter of fact it is real'y astonishing how quickly this can happen unless piopor precautions are taken at once and the old adage "Prevention is betYer than cure " is an excellent one to follow immediately after a cow has calved.
If you have not already a supply of " Bo Vita " Cleansing Drenches, procure some- from cither Messis II Dell and Sod (Pukokohe), Messrs P. Honry & Son, Patumahoe, or Mr 11. Kiug (Waiuku), and administer it as directed on tho packet. Nothing equals " Bo Vita " as a Drench for cows after calving, because it cleanses thoroughly and ijiiiekly in a perfectly natural manner and also purities tho blood and acts as a safeguard agaiust milk fever. It is not only a purgative, but also acts as a tonic and tones up the digestive organs and revives the whole vitality of the cow. No other preparation is nearly so successful but it is necessary to remember that ''Bo Vita" Drench is to bo used alter calving. '• Bo Vita " is also an excellent Drench for frorses, sheep and pigs and full directions for these animals is on every packet, in addition to which there are complete, clear instructions for the correct method of drenching a cow.
