SHEEP IN FRANKLIN COUNTY.

The annual sheep returns for the Dominion have just been issued by the Department of Agriculture. The total number of sheep in Franklin County is shown as 51,903, as against 51,131 for the previous year—an inceasc of 772. Stud sheep included in the total arc as follows:—Merinos 5, Lincolns 1300, Romneys 452, llordcr Lcicesters 13, English Leiceßters 160, Shropsbires 343, Other Breeds 62, together with Crossbreds 49,408 and Merino Flocks 70. 'lhe number of owners appears as 124, made up ot 58 owners of 1 to 200 sheep, 36 of 2'Jl to 500, 14 of 501 to 1000, 15 of 1001 to 2500, and one of 2501 to 5000 Bheep.
