WAIUKU NEWS.

The Waiuku Assembly held their usual weekly dance on Thursday evening last. There was a good attendance. Mr A. Barriball acted as M.C., and Mrs Longdill and Mrs E. Barriball provided the music. A dainty supper was handed round.

For the information of parishioners it may be mentioned tbat the Anglican parish of Waiuku extends from the Waikato river to the Manukau Heads.

Mr D. Ross, Town Clerk of Otahuhu, visited Waiuku yesterday in company with Mr Lockie Gannon, who arrived in the dutiict to ba present at tbe public meeting held last night in connection with the poll ti be taken to-m Jiros for a £17,000 ro-difg scheme loan. During tbe day Mr Rcss purchased two sections in Waiuku.
