What Was A miss?
|TO THE EDITOR.]
Sir,—Tbe report appearing in your issua of Wednesday last, of the Pukekohe School Committee's discussion as to the "hiatus" in the Public School children's song, on Saturday, 7th inst., may convey an entirely wrung impression as to tbe ability of the lady presiding at the piano. Evsrybody acquainted with Miss McGovern as a pianet knows her skill as an accompanist; but be that as it may. Miss McGovein had placed before her, by the writer, an accompaniment for the song "Rule, Britannia," instead of "Red, White and Blue," the piece the Public Sthoul Children had been taught to sing. Tbe entire blame for this particular error rests with yours,, etc.,
