A COMPLIMENTARY ADDRESS TO LADIES ON "HOW HEALTH CAN BE REGAINED AiND MAINTAINED THROUGH VIAVI HYGIENE" Will be given by MISS COOCH in Clevedon Hall, TUESDAY, August 17th, at 2.15 p.m. 0745 TUAKAU TOWN BOARD. General By-Laws, Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of The 'luakau Town Boa;d held on I'UESDAY, the third day of August, 1915, the following rrsolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Bond to be h'ld on TUESDAY, the seventh day of September, 1915, at 8 p.m.,' at the offices of the Board at 'luakau:— RESOLUTION. In exercise of tha povvers conferred on it by "The Town Board's Act, 1908," and part XLII. of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1C08," and of all other siatutss and authoiitiea it hereunto enabling the Tuakau Town Board in Special Meeting hereby approves and adopts the By-Laws as now signed by the Chairmßii ard directs that an Ordinary Meeting of the Board be held on TUESDAY, the seventh day of Septebmer, 1915, at the offices of tbe Board at Tuakau for the purposes of confirming this resolution. The object and purport of the By-Lawa are to regulate control or license within the Town District of Tuakau the following matters, and to provide fur penalties for the breach of any of these By-Laws. The By-Laws are divided into fourteen parts numbered 1 to 14 inclusive, each of which part is divided into sections or subsections, as fellows:— PART I. (a) Interpretation of meaning of words and phrases contained in the By-Laws. (b) Offences and Penalties. PART 11. In respect of Stieets and the user thereof and encroachments thereon and penalties for breaches thereunder. PART 111. General provisions for the good rule and conduct of the district. PART IV. In respect of prevention of fire. PART V. In respect of buildings for public meetings, amusements, entertainments, etcetera, and the regisU-ation and licensing thereof and the payment of fees in nspect of the Bame. PART VI. Nuisances. PART VII. Licensed carriages, carts, and drivers having particular reference to licensed cart?, provisions as to breadth of tyres of wheels of licensed and unlicensed vehicles and provisions as to heavy traffic. PART VIII. In respect of pedlars and hawkers, selling at street corners, weighing machines, etcetera, license fee, etcetera. PARI IX. In respect of licensed lodging houses and fees payable therefor. PART X. Dwelling Bites and building ByLaws deal jr g particularly with dwelling site arean, air spaces, alterations to buildings, definition of new house, definition of site, site formation, approval of plans, concrete foundations, building material, ventilation, insanitary material, fees for building peimits and forms of permit?. PART XI. Sanitary—Burial ot night-soil and mode ot burial sewgge tank, water closets and privies, ranitary control, ashpi's, prevention of nuisances hereunder and pig keeping. PART XII. In respect of Billiard RoomH and their registration and keep and licensing thereof. PART XIII. Regulating and controlling the sale ot milk and fcod and the issuing of milk vending licenses and control of dairies. PART XIV. Slaughterhouses and registration and conirol of same. A copy of the proposed By Laws ia deposited at the office of the Buard at Tuakau and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from this date to th 3 said seventh day of September, 1915.
