BOMBAY.
Last Monday night a meeting of tbe subscribers to the Bombay Anniversary Picnic aid Sports Fund was held in the Bombay Hall. Mr R J. C r'jelt wai voted to the char. Mr Corbett explained that the object or tbe meettrg was to decide whether a donation eliould be made to the Bazaar being orgauifl d by the Bombay ladies in aid of the Wounded Silriiera' Relief Fund. Tbe Picnic Fund amountd to £3O, which was in the Savings Bnk in the came of two trustee?. A lively discission t"ok place aid numerous proposals were put forth. It was finally decided, en the motion of Mr H. Long, seconded by Mr Best, that trie meeting reummcended the Bombay Anniversary Picnic snd Sports Cemmittee to donate £lO (o assist the ladies in financing the Bazaar, tbe balance, £2O, to be set aside as a local relief fund, to he administered by ths Bombay Patriotic Committee. A meeting of the Bombay Anni • versary Picnic and Sports Committee will be held on Monday evenirg next to consider the recommendation.
