Sir,— Surely Mr Goodfellow is gettrg in a very excited state over this question of advance prices paid for butter-fat. His letter in Monday's (12th met.) issue of your pap?r says that the "p-ices quoted are absolutely cjrrcct, and any statement tor the contrary is untrue and misleading," while jast Lur columns awav on the sane prg\ and in tbe same issue, h his Company's advertisemert quoting different fieures, viz, for September Is Old, while he quoted Is l]d for the same month. Wticb is tbe untrue and misleading statement? Besides he has made no effort to show that the figure] I quoted from his Company's accounts in my first letter are inaccurate, if all his statements are as absolutely correct as these, what are we to believe? He shoulj rt"ally take a little more care in marshalling his figures ard statements, as tbe . above unly serve to render them ridiculous.-1 am, etc., BUTTEK-FAT.'
