A WEIGHTY BOILER.

For The Dairy Factory. The New Zealand Dairy Associamammoth 5 ton 17 cwt. boiler for the new Waiuku factory was landed safely from the scow Pono to a lorry on Piiday morning last, and hauled to its destination by Messrs McSheen Brus'. traction engine. It arrived at Onebunca from the manufacturers, Messrs J. Niven and Co., Wellington, ex-rail, and there on Thursday morning last, after operations taking eight hours, was put on board the Pono by the scow's crew. At the Waiuku wharf the services of twenty young etilwart Waiukuitrs were requisitioned to assist on the "bull" rope and they werfa doing their best when it'severed, and the phalanx fell back on one another. The mishap, fortunately, was not a accompanied with serious consequences. There were suggestions tbat the Pukekobe-Waiuku road bridge, over which the traction engine and the boilet pae«ed, would not stand the strain, and accordingly the curious walked as far as the bridge, but the structure was negotiated without anything untoward happening.
