AKA AKA'S ENTERPRISE.
New Cheese Factory. At a meeting of dairy suppliers held at Aka Aka last evening, the attendance being between 20 and 30, further consideration was given to the proposal to resort to the manufacture of cheese instead of butter. Mr W. Goodfellow, tf Hamilton, having addressed the meeting, a resolution was passed to join the Waikato Co-operative Cheese Co., Ltd., and close on 1000 shares were taken up in the room, each share representing one cow. Messrs A. J. Kidd, K. Walters and W. Louden were elected provisional directors. Arrangements were made for the erection or a factory, the site chosen being on Mr K. Walters' property on the banks of the creek opposite Jth? Aka (Aka post office, and it is expected that the factory will be ready for operations within three months. A meeting of suppliers was also held yesterday at the Elbow, I'ukeluke, and a provisional decision was arrived at to establish a curd factory to be run in conjunction with the cheese factory at Aka Aka.
