LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.

At a meeting or the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League held on the 16th June there were present: Miss Webster, Meadames Webb, Baxter, Mcßae and Hogan. Letters of thanks were read from the Auckland League acknowledging receipt of parcels of comforts and monthly donation of £2 to sock fund. The chairwoman reported having forwarded three large parcels of comforts since last meeting, also contributions to the Hospitael Ship, which consisted of 100 double flannel waistcoats and 300 face wash clothe, tiie following letter of thanks beirg received, viz.:—"On behalf of the Mayoress of Auckland aid the Ladies' Supply Committee, I wish to thank your organisation for its very generous response to His Excellency's Hospital Ship appeal. We much appreciate jour Society's splendid work. May I ask you to thank all those who contributed eo wholeheartedly to such a successful result? With renewen gratitude for your kind interest and generous contribution, I am, very sincerely yours, Kosetta L. Baume."

It was decided to use the small pieces of flannel left aft-r cutting the waistcoats by making husifs. The small clippings of flannel are also to be utilised by an industrious lady to stuff a pillow for Sister Esther's fund. J
