LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.
At a meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League, held on Wednesday, 19th Mav, there were present:—Misses Webster, Townson, Graham, Mesdam:s Webb, Baxter, 0 Connor, Mcßae and Motion. Letters were read from the Mayoress of Auckland acknowledging receipt of parcels of socks.
The chairwoman reported having forwarded -180 pairs of socks and £2 lis (id in cash, apart from the mon'hly contribution, also a parcel of knitted comfort?. A letter from Mrs Smith, of the Ambulance Station, wss read re garments for wounded soldiers. It was decided, as a hospital ship is about to be equipped, to ask for information as to material required for the various garment?.
Accounts amounting to £\ 3s Pd were passed for payment.
Instructed by Mi?a Hamlin the following little girls knitted one hflmet each:—Muriel Middl°miss, Avis I'otter, Marion Bcrndge, Ruth Djbson. Crissie Home. Ruth Morris Gladys Clews, Emily Hutchings. bertha Smith, Florric Jenkins, Virgia Kimber, Katie Mooney. Uther workers are as follows: Knitted helmets: Mrs Eamea 3, Mrs Baiter, Mrs Hutchings 2 each, Miss Usher, Mrs Kob. Brownl°ee, Miss Butterworth (Tuakau), 1 each. Crocheted helmets: Mrs W. Blake 3; Mrs J. (ioldsworthy (fatumahoe), Mrs V. llogan, Mrs Moore, 1 each. Scarves: Mrs Darrell 2. Wristlets: Mrs Cowperthwaite 0 pairs; Miss Wcbstci 2 pairs; Mrs Webster 1 pair. Socks: Mrs McAnally (buckland) 5 pairs; Mrs Grant and Mrs J. t'urnow 2 pairs each; Mrs Baxter, 1 pair. Cholera belts: Mrs W. Blake, Mrs boulcolt, Mrs J. J. McKinney J. each.
