Harrisville School.
ITO THE EDITOR.! Sir,—l notice that your published report of the last meeting of the Tuakau Town Board contains the following:—"The chairman said he had been lead to believe that some pupils who had been attending the luakau South School had attempted to go to the Harrisville School as requested, but they had been refused admission. If this was true it was a very serious matter." 1 quite agree with the latter statement, but seeing it is not true, it is rather untortunate that one holding the responsible position of chairman of the Town Board should see fit to make such an assertion, and have it published abroad, without first having satisfied hia.self that it was correct. I have no wish to accuse the Town Board ot having a desire to make capital against the committee in this way, but I think, Sir, you will agree with me that if the Board, or the Harrisville School Committee for that matter, or any other body, are going to be so easily led to believe untrue reports, or to get into the habit of publishing their belief, that also would be a "very serious matter".— I am, etc., J NO. TURBOT.r, Chairman Harrisville School Committee. April 20th, 1916.
