THE PUKEKOHE SHOW.

A busy-bee of members was active yesterday and to-day preparing the Pukekohe Showgrounds for the 30th annual show of the Franklin A. and P. Society, to be held on Friday and Saturday next. As previously stated, the entries constitute a record and the stock that will compete will be of a standard second to nune of any forthcoming at anv other show in the Auckland Provinc 1 .

Saturday will as usual be "People's Day," and apart from the immediate attraction of the Ehow the amusement of the general public will be catered for in every possible way. At a meeting of the Executive held yesterday it was decided to award a live-guinea trophy, donated by Messrs L. D. Nathan and Co., to the winner of the draught stallion class.

During the last two years the Society has tendered a smoke concert to its judges, stewards and exhibitors. This has been much appreciated and highly spoken of. However, owing to shortage of funds thu committee decided not to hold one this yeir. The matter came up for consideration again at the meeting yesterday when the committee decided on reconsideration to tender the judges and visiting exhibitors a complimentary smoke concert. The public and stewards will te admitted at 2s per head. Several numbers of the committee have agreed to make good any deficit, so that the Society is guaranteed against loss.
