Next Week's Show.
Arrangemants are well forward for the thirtieth annual show of the Franklin A. and P. Society, to be held in the Fukekoi.e Showgrounds on Friday and Saturday of next week, and tbe fixture promises, given tine weather, to be a brilliant success even in advance of the Society's previous efforts. The president (Mr D. K. Harnil tun) hr.d secretary (Mr J. M Baxter) have worked untiringly for many weeks past in order that managerial matters ehould be thorough in every depa tment, and mainly by thair personal efforts a record entry has been secured, as will be seen from the following compa ative figures for next week's Bnd last yesr's show?, viz.
1915 1914 Light horses 314 310 Draught horces 99 81 Cattle 251 179 Sheep 87 82 Pigs 79 52 Poultry 42 37 Dogs 56 47 Industrial, etc., BGO 840
It will be noticed that each section has produced an increhsed entry and the figures given di not include the various riding and driving competitions, for whieh "post" entries are received. Side shows will as usual cater in good numbers for the entertainment of the visitifig public.
The Prime Minister (Mr Massey) is likely to be present at the Show.
