CLEVEDON.
First class attendance certificates and books for children who have not missed attending Bchool on one whole day during the year have" been awarded to the following, scholars attending the Clevedon Public School by the Board of Education:—Vera Hyde, Marjorie McKerzie, Gladys Cotter, Eileen Walsh, Doris Hyde, Lena Munro, Flora McKenzie, Edie Fawcett, Walter Holhday and George Munro. Second class certificates and books for children who have not missed attending schuoi on rive half-days during the year have been awarded to the iollowing:— Lionel Dawe, Ivy Hyde, Jim Faton, Ada Collier, Effie Hamilton, Edwaru Akxander, i Sophie Gheeze and Tom Hyde. So far the headmaster, Mr C. K. Crispe, has received three certificates of merit for the excellent .condition in which the school garden has heen kept. The average attendance at the school during the year ended 31st December, 1914, wa? 71. Master George Munro, a pupil attending tbe school, was placed eighth on ihe list of passes fur tbe Auckland Province io the Junior Sholarsbip examination bcld recently in Auckland, and his brother Charles, a pupil attending the Auckland Grammar School, papsed ninth oo tne list of pupils, from the Auckland Province whu passed in the Senior Scholarship examination. A'rcp.irl on the instruction given by Mr Crispe aud Miss Larg io the school have been received from the Education Board Department. It is reported tba* ihe iuattiKtion given has been highly satisfactory, and that tbe pupila had im&c a very creditable appearance in tbe work undertaken.
