Constable Moffat, who is away on sick leave, is reported to be showing improvement. Tho Waiuku Belgian Fund has received the handsome donation of £lO 10s from the Wesley Ladies' Guild, being ten per cent of the proceeds of the recent bazaar. On the eve of her recent marriage, Miss White, who was formerly organist of Holy Trinity Church, was the recipiont of a presentation from past and present mombers of tho choir. Iu accordance with the request of Bishop Avorill the bell at Holy Trinity Church, Waiuku, will bo rung for one minute daily, except Suuday, as a reminder for prayerful intercession on behalf of tho allies. In reply to representations made, tho Waiuku Chamber ot Commerce has been notified '-y the Prime Minister that the extra telephone wire required for tho local bureau via Drury, to get a better service with Auckland, will bo shortly available.
