PAPAKURA.

On Wednesday of last week the Wesley an Sunday school picnic was held, Mr Allington kindly landing hii paddock for the purpose. The day proved beautifully tine, and the teachers, scholars and their friende spent a most enjoyable time. On the same day the Bombay Anglican Sunday school paid their annual visit to Young's Beach here. The party arrived in two brakes in the morning, and spent their time in ba ning and paddling and had, aa usual, a happy titme. On Saturday a team from the Wairoa South Tennis Club viaited Papakura to play the local club. The games were very interesting, but the Papakura players were too strong for their opponents, the result being as folbws:—Papakura 11 points, Wairoa South 1.
