WAIUKU MOUNTED RIFLES
Annual Class Firing.
The annual class tiring of the above corps was taken last Thursday and Friday under Captain Aldred, who came down from Auckland to carry out the tests.
The shooting was of a very satisfactory order. A total of -10 points was necessary to pass the tests and 75 to earn a marksman's badge, out of a possible 105. Only three members of the eorp> failed and are therefore " inefficient " for the year. Marksmen's badges were gained by Corporal Hull 91 points, Private T. McDonald 94, Private Neil 82 and Private Eenall 81. The first three scores, considering that so much of the course is rapid liring, are splendid. Private Neil, who is only a recruit, and tired tho course for a lirst time, put up a capital performance. On Thursday uight Captain Aldred gave a lecture to Eifle Club members on outpost duty.
