Mercer—Thursday. [Before Mr F. V. Frazer, S.M.] Judgment by default, or by consent, was given in the following cases : Commissioner of Taxes v. A. H. Lapwood, 3s lOd, with lis costs. United Timber Co. v. H. Davis, £1 6s with 7s costs. Valentine and Co. v. Tukumata, £6 2s 7d, with £1 9s costs. Same v. E. Stanton, £1 0s Gd, with 7s costs. Same v. P. Kapa, £5 16s, with 13s costs. Same v. W. J. Elliott, £l9 13s 9d, with 16s costs. An order on a judgment summons was made in the case F. Cook v. H. Sharp, for payment of £4 lis lid within seven days, or in default live days imprisonment. In the defended civil case of John Hill v. John Dean, which was heard some months ago, the defendant's costs on non-suit were fixed and allowed, by consent, at £SB 2s Bd.
