A COMMERCIAL MAN'S VIEW. Th« London representative of a New Zealand mercantile house, writing to his principals here, makes some interesting comments on the situation in Lngland arising out of the* war, which we reproduce below You have probably pre-occupations enough without being troubled with letters that are not essential to the business. yet tho period through which we are passing is one of intense interest, so fraught with fate for the time to be, that it may not be disagreeable to you to have som e impressions from me. who is living, so to say. in tho vortex of great events.
Of actual hostilities I here say nothing. Press cablegrams and subsequent newspaper files will inform you more fully and more lucidly than I am capable of doing, but some points nrise that it may not bo without interest to bring under review.
