OTAUA DRAINAGE BOARD.
At last meeting of Otaua Drainage Board there were present:— Messrs W. L. West (chairman;, R. Hull, H. 0. Mellsop, F. G. Deed and the clerk, Mr W. J. King. The clerk explained that the books had been sent away to the Audit Department for the annual inspection.
general discussion took place on the drains and watercourses in the Board's area. It was reported that the Otaua and Awaroa creeks had been cleaned and a good job made. The Awaroa creek had been more efficiently clone than last year, and at a much less cost Mr Hull wai authorised to put on a man to clear out the watercress and other quick-growing weeds in the OI alia.
The question of dealing with bailey's drain was allowed to stand over at present. Accounts totallirg £45 were 'jaised for payment, which completed ths busines?.
