WAR! war: BELGIAN RELIEF FUNDThe Pukckohe District Patriotic Fund Committee desire to make a strong appeal to the public of Pukckohe for funds and cloihing in aid of the above fund. Subscriptions may be paid to his Worship the Mayor, or to me at the Borough Council Office. Parcels of clo'hing may be left at the Borough Council Office. It is also proposed to hold an Auction Sale in the Masonic Hall on Thursday, December 10th, 1914, at 8 p.m., in aid of the fund, provided sufficient mateiial can be collected to warrant holding such a sale. Any persons willing to donate vegetables, fruit, or any other commodities for this purpose are requested to communicate with me as soon as possible so that the necessary arrangements can be made. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Pukekoho Borough Council held on November 4th, 1914, it was resolved that the sums of £705 -of tho Special Loan of £1650 for Quarry purposes, and £265 of the Special Loan of £IOOO for repayment of Bank Overdraft, &c., being items 2 and 3 respectively of a Special Loan granted on September 2ord, 11)12, and not now being required for the purposes for which they were borrowed, bo used for the purpose of re-metalling King Street, and part of West Koad and Manukau Road, together with any expenses incidental thereto. The said resolution will bo submitted to the said Pukekohe Borough Council for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, Pukekohe, on Wednesday, December 2nd, 1 ( J14, at 8 p.m. J.
