N.Z LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO. On Thursday last we held our usual sale at the Tuakau yards, and prices were the same as late sales. There wa9 a full yarding and a good clearance was made. A. BUCKLAND AND SONS. We held a special sale of dairy cattle and bulls at Fukekohe on Saturday, 24th, and had a full yardinp. First quality cows and heifers sold readily: such was the case with Shorthorn bulls; best cows and heifeia made from £8 10s to £ll 10s; second quality, £6 to £8; aged and interior, £2 10s to £4 10s; well-bred ?8-month to two-year-old Shorthorn bulls brought from £l4 14s to £2l; three trom Mr B. Reed, Waeranga, averaged 17Jgns; go:d yearlings, to £ll lis; other yearlings, £4 4s (o £8 8s; other breeds, £4 10s to £lO. At Pukekohe on Monday, 26th, we held our usual monthly sale, and had the record entry of 1854 head. All classes were strongly represented. There was an extra large attendance, and a good demar.d for all descriptions, although beef (of which there was the record number of 279) was lower than at the corresponding Bala last month. Forward four to 4i-year-old steers, £9 6s to £9 16s; three to four-year-olds, £8 lCs to £9 ss; 2J to three-year-old Fteers, £6 5i to £8; two-year-olds, £4 17s to £5 15s; 18-month to two-year-olds, £4 to £4 15s; yearling steers, £3 to £3 12s; fresh empty cows, £4 15s to £5 15s; store cows, £3 159 to £4 10s; two-year-old dairy heifers, £3 15s to £4 10s; yearling heifers, £2 12s to £3 10a; good calves, £2 7 to £2 16s, smaller £1 12s to £2 ss, weedy £1 Is to £l 10s; fat steers, £lO 59 to £l3 ss; cows and heifers, £5 16s to £ll 7s 6d; dairy cows and heifers, £4 10s to £9; bulls, £3 to £9. The advertised ewes with lambs realised £1 7s.
