OTAUA DRAINAGE BOARD.

ihe monthly meeting of the Otaud Drainage Board took place last Thursday; present—Messrs W. L. West (chairman). H. 0. Mellsop, K. Hull, W. J. Wright, i\ G. Deed, also the clerk and treasurer, Mr W. J. King, The chairman's action in putting on men to clear the Aka Aka creek was approved. Mrs L. Mellsop acknowledged receipt of the Board's letter of sympathy. It was reported that three men had been put on to clear the Aw area creek. Accounts totalling £2O were passed for payment. The financial report showed that the Board's overdraft had been reduced to £IBO.
