At Puktkoho yards, on Monday and Tuesday, we held a special horse sale, when just on 400 horses were yarded, and met with a good sale throughout. ALFRED BUCKLAND AND SONS We held a special sale of dairy stock and bulls at Runciman on Saturday, October 17th. The yards were fairly well filled, and there was a good demand for cows and heiters at profit. Y iuiu well-bred bulls alio sold freely. Best cows brought from £9 to £lO 17s (id; choice heifers, at profit, £7 5s to £9 10s; second quality cons, £5 15s to £7 Ids; small li;iferi?, U to £6 ss; young bull;, £5 5s to £l2 12», according to quality; agei bulls, £5 to £8 15s. We hr Kl our usual monthly sale at Fokeno on Monday, October 19th, and had a large yarding of stock. Buyers were In attendance, and all classes werd in demand at prices similar to thosa ruling at Runciman the day following. We held our second cattle fair of the season at Runciman on Tuesday, October 20th, when the yards were completely filled. The major portion weie well-bred three to live-year-old steers. Thee was a very large attendance, and competition was good for all elapses, although several pens were passed j at th2 hummer. Most of these were j disp acd of privately.
