THE TOWN BAND.

Appointment of Trustees. In connrction with the trusteeship of the I'ukekohe Town Band instrument!?, tha Borough Council, at a meeting on July 15th last, decided: (1) That this Council agrees to accept the trust and appoint three members to take the place of th 3 oublic trustees; (2) That provided the Council is appointed J trustee for the band instruments the j Council will subsidise the band to the extent of £25 for the present I year, the band to provide a nunbsr j of puclic eiit-Tlai miuti to b; s\bj seqjently agreod unoi. On Saturday tight last a public I mectirg was held in the Bcr.ugh C(uncil Chambers to go further into the matter. Mr W. Koul'ton presided. 'lhe public trustees were Messrs W. Koulston, R. Bilkcy and J. W. Johns. On the motion of Mr Wright it was decided that the foregoing trustees now resign and that the Pukekohe Borough Council be appointed as trusters in their EtsEcl. O.i the motion of Mr J. Pilkingt<fn it was argeed that h future the public of Pukekohe shall at all times be represented by the Pukekohe Borough Courcil for the time being in place of the three public trustees provided for ps recit i :d in the deed of trust datfd August Ist, 190 S.
