I Another Enjoyable Function I The I'ukekohe Gun Club enjoys ' tho roputation of doing things well, They havo managed their " l)ig I shoots " successfully, they havo " i handled smoko concorU and s>ciiil .gatherings with i;ro lit, and on ■ Thursday night tlioy a Mel to the " I list of tilings " well doae " —thoir I I first annual tall. The Premier hall j had been engaged and tlio baroness of the interior was relioved by Hugs, whilst on the stage was a table on t which wore exhibited the trophies of 1 tho year's slnotiug. A large 1 marquee had been oroctod adjoining d tho hall as a supper room and forns 1 and many-coloured paper festoons were utilised to ombollisii the interior. Over 70 couples took part in tlio dancing which was kept going until well into tho morning e hours. Music was supplied "by Miss . Pulleng (piano), Mr Hindman a (cornet), and a violin, extras being i played by Misses M. Mayall and M. r O'Connor and Mr Marshall. Tho . duties of M's.C wore carried out by - Messrs J, Kennelly. J. Reynolds, .). i Beatty, F. Graham, J. Fausett and i A. P. Daysh. A committeo of lady r supporters of tho club undertook to • take charge of tho supper arrangeB monts and tho tasty edibles and tho > well set-out tables were a splondid r tribute to tlio manner in which they had carried out th°ir duties. Tho r ladies' committee wore Mosdamos A. ', P. Daysh, 1 looey, T. Fausett, J. n Rlako, W. McNally, F. Adolph, R. t Brownle.i, 11. Stuart, R. Reynold?, j J. Reynolds, Fitnoss, I. Motion, .1, s Wright, J. Hart, Misses Konnolly, r Graham, Twidle, O'Conncr, Fausett, s O'Noil and Morris. Tlio mon had 3 their shave of work to do and wero r fortunate in possessing so capablo e and hard-working a socrotary as Mr A. P. Daysh. Those who assisted - tho secretary and did yeoman service e wero Messrs J. Konnolly, J. Boatty, 0 W. McNally, J. Reynolds, W. Wil- • son, J. Fausett, F. Graham, D. Mcr Cormick, D. R. Reynolds and A. 1 Vujucich. It must bo gratifying to to both tho ladies and men's committees to know t'iat their labours wore appreciated and that all present I voted tho dance a most onjoyablo e ono.
