Not only have they sung hymrs and made intercession for those in reed, tut they have also giver, of their f ur.ds. On?, of the tirat public collections in this dis-
trict was on the 9th August, when the congregation of St. I'aul's, Buckland, gave the otf.'iing ot £1 for the Lady Liverpool tund. Since then an offering of £3 10a 3d was given by St. Stephen's Church, Onewhero, to the Onewhero Pairio tic Fund; £3 13s 9d at St. John's, Tuakau, to the Tuakau Fund; and £2 by the St, Aidrew's Lsdies Guild to the Pukekohi Fu n d.
Again on Sunday another example was set, when the church collectiin at Pukekohe and Tuaka'i weie the first public ccllcctiors in cid of the Belief Funds, At the request of Bishop Averill the offerings wtre fiven fo: th: reli f of distress caused by the war in Great Britain, Ireland ard Belgium, ard for disuees at Hun'ly in the proportion of three-quarters and oue-q larter respectively. Tnc off-r----ings for the day were: -Pukekohe, £7 4s; Tuakau, £1 7s; besides which 10s was suit specially for relief at Huntly, making a total of £24 5a given by the Church of England congregations in this district.
