Breach of the Food Act

A casa of the sort came before the Auckland Magistrate's Court, when Thomas Ward, secretary of the Alia Dairy Company, was charged that ho sold butter not having a label attached showing the name and address of the maker, and that he sold butter containing boracio acid, without having a label attached to the butter showing the ' proportion of the preservative us°d. A Health Department inspector stated that in June lie came across the butter in ijuestiou wrapped up in plain wrappers and displayed in a store in Karangahake road. He inide enquiries, and found that it cime, through an agent, from t'lo Aria Dairy Company, whose secretary took the full blame of tho breach of the Act.
