Highly Successful Affair
Tho annual Golf Club (1 luce hold in tho Pukekohe Masonic hall on Thursday uiyht proved a most successful and enjoyable affair Flags, evergreens, forns, draping and floral decorations gave to the hall a in >st attractive appn trance, whilst the stage and a portion of the supper room scieinel oil had tieen litted up with easy chairs and lounges. Tho slipper ta 1 <lo was tastefully decorated, rel, the Club's color, predominating. A most supper had been provided. I'll'' ladies' committee [Mesdamos Motion, M.Arthur, M isses Clark'-, Barter and Bilkey], who undertook the Mipper arrangements and the decorating, are to be complimented on their excellent tasto aud for tho thoroughness in which tlioy carried out their arduous Mr 11. Corbott was again tho secretary, and shares with tho ladies' committee the credit of success. Almost needless to say the floor was in first-class order whilst Eulv's orchestra provided excellent music, extras being played by Misses Clarke, Milne, Pulleug and Messrs Marsack and Reid. Over •!0 couples were in attendance, visitors from Auckland and many parts of the district being present. As to the dressing the gowns were charming and it was generally admitted that it was tho best frock I'd dance of tho season.
