DRURY ROAD BOARD.

The September Meeting.

The monthly meeting of the Drury Road Board was held on Saturday, present-Messrs (Jlasion, in the chair, Bremner, l!ro.<khj, Quinn and McNaughton. WAIHOEHOE HOAU. A. M. The nelds inspactor, Department of Agriculture, notified that he would be looking after certain sections in Kirikiri and Drury which the Board had requested should be cleared of noxious weeds. TENDERS FOR METAL. A. McKinstry tendered for 00 yards spawla Beach road, 8s per yard; 10U yards I'ark road, Ms Od per yard.— Left in Mr McNaughton'i hands.

J. Cossey and Son tendered for JOO yards suawls at Fielding's corner at 5a per yatd and 50 yards spawls, H. Cossey's road, at 4s lid per yard.—lt was decided to olTcr 4s tld for the lirst-named contract, an I 4s for the second, the time of contract to be extended. It was stated that the limited time suggested was perhaps the cause of the high prices tendered.

W. Coldicutt oll'ered to supply and put on the road where required 100 yards 2\ inch shingle from bii quarry at 7s per yard. —The quality of this niet.il nag unknown to members and it was decided to ask Mr Coldicutt ti put half a dozen loads on the road to see how it stood. Mcintosh and Walker's tender for 150 yards metal on Park road at 7s Od per yard was accepted.
