The Waiuku Section
A meeting of the ciuimittoo of the Waiuku section ot the Pakuranga llunt Club was held at the KentMi lio'cl, Mr R T. Reid presiding: also present were Messrs Currie. IkiuU, Jellncs I'. Townsend, W. Smith aud C. J. Hosking (secret iry,. The chairman spoke in feeling terms in reference to the death of the late Lionel Mellsop, who was a member of the committee, and othei members showed similar sympathy in adopting a resolution to forward a letter of condolence to Mis Mellsop. After discussion as to the best way to celebiate the Waiuku branch iu some manner, 'it was eventually decided to do this hv having a proeraiirue of field events about September 2-Ith. The following events wero arranged : Point to point steeplechase, hijli jump, i-mile tl it iace and open point to point steeplechase. The sport will take place on Messrs Eber Eaniball's and C. J. I locking's properti's, aud there will be no admission fee.
It is al-) expected to have two days' hunting iu conjunction with the field -ports
