That Mauku Mistake.
| TO THE EDITOIM Sir,—ln your correspondent's reply to the shove, 1 no!ice he says he "understands from Mr Wily that both names appear on the original lists," and a little further on it is stated that "up to the time of writing he did not know what Mr Wright, senr., gave, Htir! it apP'rently had not yet been accounted for." As 1 win the collector that called upon Mr Wright, sent,, and received a cheque troni him, and having paid the saiJ cheque, with my other donation', in at the meeting, you will see that it places me in an invidious position to have it stated in the press that Mr Wight's donation "had appa'ently not yet been accounted for." Had Mr Wily handed tha original lists to Mr Crispe 1 think thi i unfortunate error would not have occurred. Trusting you will publish this so a.i to exonerate me from any blame, —I \ am, etc.,
