LADIES' HOCKEY CLUB.
A Capital Dance. The Pukekohe Ladies' Hockey Club's dance, held in the Masonic Hall last night, proved a most enjoyable function, over forty couples, being present. Dexterous fingers in conjunction with good taste had utilised Hags, evergreens and flowers to the fullest advantage in the decoration of the hall. The floor was in perfect order and the dance music was supplied by Miss Pulleng, Miss Zin/.an playing an extra. The M's.C. were Mrs Bishton, Misses G. Maxwell, G. Stembribge and E. Cargill and they set: the men an example by tho thorough manner in which they carried out their duties An excellent supper was provided and a feature of the supper room was the charming table decorations. The ladies who undertook the duties and the responsibilities of management are to bo congratulated on the success social and financial—which rewarded their labors.
