AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS.

Businoss in tho local market Ins been very busy this woek, and a large volume of business lias been done. Poultry at to-day's auction tinned considerably, and in some cases extreme rites wore realised. Competition was keen throughout the These pi ices we do not expect to hold, as the buyers wero only buying to fullil orders for shipment next week. Potatoes and onions are much firmer. Swedes and pumpkins are in better supply and demand. Fruit is slow of sale. Eggs and butter ate coining forward in heavy supply, and price? are ruling lower. Pigs are linn. Tho grain market is very linn, and owing to disorganised steamer service supplies are short. By general appearances prices will be tinner in tho iourso of a week or two.
