The evenirg was occupied hy R.v, R. liar-, vvho gave a portr^yl of tie pot Burr.e, rational poet of Scethnd. Time would not allow the rev. gentleman to deal as fullv with Burns' life as he would have liked, but he tmehed as fully as possible on •he most important phases of the poll's career. Djring the evening sorgs were sung by Mr Mcarns, "Scots Wha llaeßev. Lf at r. "Duncan Gray" and Miss Rossiter, "Comiii' 'lhro' The Rye." Mr C. J. West moveJ a vote of thanks for a pleasant and instructive evening, this Wis Eeconded by Mr C. Hoeking and rariizd with acclamation. The meeting terminated with the National Anthem.
