Borough and County.
|TO THE EDITOR |
Sir,—l crave 1 brief space to contradict a stat?ment made by Comcillor Comrie and several times repeated. In your issue of the 28th inst., there is a report of a meetjng of the Borough Council, when the question of regulating heavy traffic waß discussed. I do not propose to go into the merits or d merits of the question under discussion, neither do I propo?e commenting upon the at itude taken up by the individual councillors, but what I am concerned about is the statement made by Councillor Comrie. He says in the course of the discussion not or.ee, but several times) that the Franklin County Council has not the courtesy to reply to the Borough Council's letter. To this statement I give an emphatic tlenial A reply has been sent; and if Councillor Comrie was absent when the reply was read he should at least have made sure of the truth or otherwise cf his statement before making such an assertion.— I am, etc., J. T. SrEMBKIDGE.
