Choice dairy cows and heifers close to profit, brought from £lO 12s 6d to £l2; others, £4 5s to £9 15s; milk cows, £ls; fresh dropped calve?, 6s. We held our ueujl monthly sales at Pakeno on Monday, July 20th, arc! Kunciman on iuesday, 21st. There waß a laiga yarding at the former plac?, and the latUr yards were moJcrattly tilled. Dairy cattle were a liltlJ slacker than at late sales, but all clisses ot store cattle were in keen demand, e.*peci.lly young stock. Dairy cows, £5 5s to £lO 10s, empty cows £2 15s t> £4 7s; three-year-old steers, £5 15s to 6i; two-year-olds, £4 10s to £5 7s; yearlings to 18-month steers, £3 la to £4 3a; calvep, £2 8s to £2 16s, smaller £1 10s to £2 3s, weedy 15< to £1 6s; fat cows, £5 5s to £8 15s; yearling to 18-month heifers, £3 to £4 9s. NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTILE CO. At Waiuku yards on Friday we held a clearing sale in conjunction with Messrs Alfred Buckland and Son, of Messrs Jno. and E T. Bent's live and dead stock. There was a fair attendance notwithstanding the wet weather, and a eatisfactory sale was held. Mr Jnn. Bent's cows, bißt, el se to profit, sold at from £8 15s to £l2; others, more backward, £6 10s to £8 10s; heifers, £5 10s to £7 10s; empty cows, £4 tj £5 ss; milk cans, Us to 25a 6d. Mr E. T. Bent's cows, etc., sold at £9 to £l2 for the best; others, £6 10s to £8 108; empty cows, £4 5s to £5 ss; bulls, £7; cans, 15s to 20s. At Waiuku yards on Saturday we helJ our usual monthly sale. Iheic was an extra large yarding of dairy cows and stures, and prices were fully up to lata sales. We tjuote:—On account of Mr Jno. Douglas, cows sold at from £6 10s to £lO 10s; Mcsers W. C. and D. Munro's cobs, close to profit, sold at from £9 to £l7 10s; others, £5 to £B. Dairy cows on account of other owner?, for those close to profit, solJ at from £8 to £11; others more backward, £5 to £7 15s; heifers, best, £7 10a to £ll ss; others, £5 to £7; empty cows, £3 to £4 17s; calves, 30s to £2 lis; bulls, £3 to £6 15s. Beef sold at late rates.
