AUCKLAND MARKET REPORT. Mr J. Jones, auctioneer, Victoria and Lome streets, Auckland, re-ports:-The volume of business done in the produce market has been good this week and in most lines the market is steady. Poultry is steady, though the cemand for prime fresh hens is strong. Roosters' values are about the same as last week. There is still a large quantity ot turkeys being sent in and values are satisfactory for good birds, the majority of the birds are on the poor side. Pumpkins and swedes are firmer. We quote: - Poultry: Hens, Is lOd to 2s 3d, good 2i 3J to 2s 6d, prime young birds up to 4s; roosters, prime up to 4s 7d, good 3s to 3s 9.', ordinary 2s 3d to 2s 9d; ducks, 2s to 3s 21; geese, 4a; turkeyß, gobblers 6s to 12s 6d, according to siz; and condition: turkey nens, 4s to (is 9d. Pigs, 12s to 19s 6d. Potatoes: Southern table £5 to £5 10s, southern seed va leties, £5 to £6; local, £3 to £3 15s; pumpkins, £3 10s to £4 10s; swedes, £2 to £2 12s 6d; melons, £2 15s to £3 15s; maize, 3s 8d to 4s 2d; wheat, 4s 4d to 4s 9d; oats, 2s 8d; bran, £4 15s; sharps, £7; Algerian cats, 3s sd; barley, 3s Id; chatf, local £5 x-station.
