AUCKLAND MARKET REPORT. Mr J. Jones, auctioneer, Victoiia and Lome streets, Auckland, reports: The market this week has been busy and large volumes of business has been done. Values in most lines are about the same as last report. Poultry cams forward in good numbers, and for gtod fresh hens the market improved about Gd per head. Roosters are in steady demand. Turkeys: The market for these birds has been heavily supplied, the majciity being on the poor Bide. Pigs are in short supply and are wanted. Butter and eggs are steady, l'otatoes, pumpkins and swedes are much firmer. We quote - : Htns, prime young 2s 5d to 3s Gd, good 2s to 2s 3d, ordinary Is 9d to la lid; ducks, 2s to 3s 4d; gceße, 4s; roosters, extra prime 4s Bd, good 3s to os Bd, ordinary 2s to 2s lOd; turkeys, gobblers 7s to lis, hens 4s to Gs.
Pigs, Ss yd to £1 ss. l'otatoes, southern £5 to £5 lUp, local £2 10s to £3; onhns, prime Gs 13 7s; swedes, £2 to £2 10s; pumpkins, £2 1 5s to £4; cabbage, 5s Gd sack.
